In its 14th year, the Brazilian Film Fest of Miami is known as the largest film festival solely dedicated to Brazilian films abroad, is the pioneer of the Inffinito Festival Circuit, and annually hosts the most recent productions for the largest competition of Brazilian films outside of the country.
A week of the festival will be held at Cinema Paradiso, August 14 - 20
All films are subtitled in English

Synopsis At six years old, Roberto Carlos Ramos is sent by his mother to an institution for poor children in Belo Horizonte. Endowed with a fertile imagination, at 13 he’s still illiterate, having escaped more than 100 times he´s been diagnosed as irredeemable. Before they can reach a conclusion, Pedro and Ana will have their love stirred by her success, she becomes a TV star, thanks to the work of her manager Fernanda. Synopsis A music documentary chronicling the life and work of the composer, lawyer, politician, and creator of copyright laws protecting Brazilian artists, Humberto Teixeira. Also known as “The Doctor of Baião,” he is celebrated for his popular classics, among them the “anthem of drought,” Asa Branca. The film accompanies his daughter, Denise Dummont, on a journey in search of knowledge about her father. The Man Who Bottled Clouds is a celebration of Teixeira's artistic and musical work. Baião is rediscovered now and recorded by some of Brazil's most vibrant stars.
