The 25TH Annual Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) takes you on a vacation from ordinary film October 22 - November 11, 2010, as the fest reels out over 100 entertaining new features, documentaries, and shorts from around the globe. Filmmakers and celebrities create an aura of excitement around the cinematic event as they walk the red carpet at Hollywood style premieres, chat with audiences at screenings and attend parties and gatherings, along with free seminars, outdoor screenings, and films for kids.

Cinema Paradiso is the festival hub and our year round home base.
Most of the movies will be shown here during the festival. Our Paradiso Courtyard Patio is also the place to hang out and socialize during the festival before, after, and in
between films. We feature a full bar,a wide variety of beer and wine, coffees, and of course movie theater staples such as popcorn, candy, and soft drinks. During the festival we also stock sandwiches and salads.

***How to get to Cinema Paradiso***
The theatre is located in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale at 503 SE 6th St, on the south side of the New River, one block East of the Broward County Courthouse.
From US 1 (coming from the North)
Head south past Broward Blvd, thru tunnel to SE 7 Street and turn right at the light, take an immediate right, this takes you directly to the Cinema.
From US 1 (coming from the South)
Head North on US1 till you get to SE 7 Street, turn Left, take an immediate right, this takes you directly to the Cinema.
From I-95 north
Exit Broward Boulevard, go east to SE 3rd Avenue, turn right, go over the bridge and the first light will be SE 6 Street. Turn left, Cinema is one block ahead on the left.
From I-95 south
Exit Davie Boulevard, go east to SE 3rd Avenue, turn left, go two traffic lights to SE 6 Street, turn right, Cinema is one block ahead on the left.
***Cinema Paradiso Parking***
Cinema Paradiso has free parking in the Courthouse Parking Garage (street level - immediately across 5th Ave at Cinema Paradiso). Off of SE 6th Street turn north on SE 5th Avenue (the street between the Garage and Cinema Paradiso). Follow the blue sandwich signs and turn left into garage. You can also park for free at any street meter beginning at 6pm, free also all day Sundays and holidays.
***The Whole Foods Market Festival Cafe***
One of the perks of "upper level" membership and FLIFF sponsorship is the Whole Foods Market Festival Cafe.
This is a sectioned off area of The Courtyard where select members (Producer & above), sponsors, filmmakers, and members of the press can enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks at times posted daily.
Please show your membership card to the volunteer at the entrance.

OPENING NIGHT
This year the opening night film will be held at Baily Hall located at 3501 SW Davie Road on the Broward College Central Campus, South of I-595 just off Davie road. The theater is about 8 1/2 miles from Cinema Paradiso.

Once again, the Opening Night Gala will be held at the Signature Grand in Davie, located on State Road 84, less then a mile from Baily Hall.

***TRAVEL*** 
The host hotel for FLIFF2010 is the Fort Lauderdale Beach Courtyard by Marriot. The hotel is located across the street from the beach and depedning on your luck with the draw bridges is just a few minutes from Cinema Paradiso where most of the action will be. We also offer ground transportation to festival attendees who stay at the hotel.

***DRESS***
Dress up, dress down…whatever you like to do, just be comfortable and you’ll feel fine..

***WHAT'S THE TYPICAL DRILL***
Filmmakers on hand to briefly introduce their film, then following the screening, the filmmaker will lead a q&a. Filmmakers are always easy prey in the Cinema Paradiso Courtyard!

***RULES***
Not a lot of them...pretty simple:
Turn off your cellphones during the film.
Don't even text in the theatre during the film...its annoying.
Can't abide by those two…please just stay home and watch television.
Also no videotaping during film (everyone knows that).
Be courteous to other members of the audience...and sure, while we're at it, what the hay, the staff too!
