International Student Film Competitions
In 1989, FLIFF launched The Kodak Florida Student Film Competition, awarding outstanding college films produced in Florida. In 1993 the competition went nationwide and four years later, international.
In 2005 FLIFF created The Florida High School Film Competition. In 2006, due to overwhelming response, the competition, this competition as well went international.
Each year, winning films from the collegiate and High school levels are screened during the annual Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival at Cinema Paradiso.
The High School Films will be screened this year at Cinema Paradiso on Saturday, October 24, 2009 @ 10am, A FREE pizza party follows for the audience and the filmmakers.
The college level films will be screened on Monday, November 2, 4, and 5 at 5pm Cinema Paradiso
