DIRECTOR STATEMENT: I lived in Turin for 5 years, and that’s where this story came to me. I lived with my partner, who is now my wife, and the late shifts her job required made our relationship both passionate and complicated. Turin is a fascinating city full of contradictions. It is a royal city that was the capital of Italy, and of the House of Savoy. But it also has an industrial side that is very present. Then the Christian side – there are more than 100 churches in Turin and the shroud of Christ is on display there. It is a city of the Alps where people at first glance seem to be quite closed, but where there is also a massive influx of immigrants. And it was all these contradictions of this cold, but warm, spiritual and industrial city that fascinated me and I just had to shoot my first film there…, where I also fell in love
