Spend a day immersed in some of the finest new cinema from Peru as the Filmed in Peru Festival comes to Savor Cinema on Sunday, July 26.

The program begins at 3:00 PM with 1982, an acclaimed drama from director Garcia JC that explores family, identity, and resilience against the backdrop of a changing Peru.  The film won Best Film at the Lima Film Festival.

At 5:00 PM, discover Ramon & Ramon, a moving and beautifully crafted film about friendship, loss, and the enduring connections that shape our lives. Praised for its emotional depth and memorable performances, it is one of the standout films of this year’s festival.

The evening concludes with The Innocents at 8:00 PM, a powerful drama from director Germán Tejada that has earned praise for its compelling storytelling and unforgettable characters. Tejada won Best Director for this film at the Lima Film Festival.

Both Garcia JC and Germán Tejada are expected to attend, giving audiences a rare opportunity to hear directly from the filmmakers behind these acclaimed works.

Festival guests will also enjoy a reception featuring Peruvian food, drinks, and cultural experiences throughout the day.
