THE LAST DEPARTURE

SYNOPSIS: Michael Miller loses his eight-year-old daughter in a freak drowning accident. After a short time, he deteriorates into a drunken mess. After losing his job and his wife, Michael returns to the scene only to accidentally drown himself. Unaware that he has fallen into a deep coma, Michael finds himself at a deserted train station in between worlds, where he does battle with his evil twin over the fate of his soul. His evil twin is simply a manifestation of his guilt. After a couple of violent encounters, Michael is befriended by a beautiful woman who unknowingly turns out to be his daughter. After she leads him down a path of clues, Michael discovers that the woman he has been comforted by is his daughter and regains hope. Michael and his evil twin duel in a final epic battle, where his evil twin wins the bout. Only after Michael accepts defeat and apologizes for his part in his daughter’s death is he released from the grip of his guilt and able to move on with his young daughter to the next place.
