“Down Town” is an action comedy that follows the stories of T-Mo – the hustler, Hunny – the prostitute, and Jerry – the junkie, over the course of 24 hours in the criminal underbelly of Downtown Los Angeles.
A clever fast-moving farce with suspense, thrills, and laughs. Emerging filmmaker, Gavin Jeffrey Gaitan, has created a cool calling card for his next feature, displaying oodles of talent and creativity.
DIRECTOR: Gavin is a Los Angeles-based indie feature film writer, producer, and director. Graduated Cal State Long Beach in 2019 with a major in Narrative Film Production – Directing, and a minor in Political Science. He has written, produced, and directed three self-financed indie features.
DIRECTOR STATEMENT: Explore the crazy characters, wild escapades, and borderline post-apocalyptic (and very real) cityscape of modern Downtown LA in our absurdist, outrageous, hilarious, balls-to-the-wall action-comedy “Down Town”.
