Land of Mermaids explores the cultural and financial impact that mermaids have had on the state of Florida. With reports from throughout the Sunshine State, including Key West, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Lake Worth, Vero Beach, Nokomis, Riverview and, of course, WEEKI WACHEE Springs.
DIRECTOR: Emmy and Telly winner Sergio Figuera has been involved in the broadcasting industry in various capacities for over 30 years. Most recently as a videographer, editor and producer for South Florida PBS and his own company, Jetsetter Films. . In addition to television, Sergio is a singer/songwriter and was signed to a deal with Warner Music Latin with his group “Latin Bangers” in 2003.
