US Marines Mason Lane (Jeremy Sumpter) and Lisa Gardner (Sydelle Noel) go from rescuing kidnapped war journalist David Wolfe (Terrence Howard) in Afghanistan, to working minimum wage security jobs for a former Naval Captain (Jeremy Piven). Their new assignment – transport the priceless “Yun Diamond” to an auction house. But when Mason tries to rekindle an old flame (Sofia Pernas), he winds up ambushed by her new boyfriend, the powerful Miami crime lord Ricardo (Manu Bennett). With a gun to his head, Mason must hatch a plan to steal the diamond and win back his ex-girlfriend without losing his only lifeline, Lisa. Shot on location in Miami, the film is directed by Justin Steele with original score by Serj Tankian (System of a Down).

The Thriller was shot on location in Miami and features adrenaline-fueled action while exploring the complexity of US veterans’ reintegration to civilian life. It serves as the flagship release for the Los Angeles-based production company Drama Free Films.

Justin is a filmmaker known for slice-of-life storytelling with a gritty, suspenseful edge. His work spans global ad campaigns, music videos, and acclaimed shorts, including The Heeler starring J.K. Simmons. He has directed the features Gutshot Straight (Stephen Lang), Death and Cremation (Brad Dourif), and the upcoming Miami Nights (Terrence Howard, Jeremy Piven, Thomas Jane), set for a theatrical release in early 2026.
