DIRECTOR: Lorraine Portman has been swimming longer than she has been walking but did not dip her toe into documentary filmmaking until auditioning to be a Weeki Wachee mermaid with her friend Peggy, 79.
Portman has written and directed seven narrative short films and a feature. She taught Playwriting and Screenwriting for ten years at Flagler College in Saint Augustine, Florida. She studied Theater at Smith College and Film at Florida State University. Portman attended the National Theater Institute at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center. Portman also directs theater productions.
Lorraine is a Screenplay Development Consultant for LA based Samaco Films.
