DIRECTOR: Alireza Golafshan was born in Tehran in 1986. He and his family immigrated to Germany in 1998. He studied philosophy and art history in Hamburg prior to enrolling at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF). After making several short films, he directed his first feature film, THE GOLDFISH, in 2019, then his second film, JGA: JASMIN. GINA. ANNA, in 2022. EVERYTHING’S FIFTY FIFTY earned him the Bavarian Film Award in 2024.
