ALL TO PLAY FOR

It is about the story of Sylvie, who lives in Brest with her two children, Sofiane and Jean-Jacques. Together they form a tight, happy family. An incident occurs, threatening the tight family bond – forcing the three of them, individually, to question where things will ever be as they once were.

Led by perennial FLIFF favorite, Virginie Efira (SYBIL, A SENSE OF WONDER, VICTORIA, BENDETTA), the film is certainly like life.  Little things mushroom into mountains.  From the benefit of the seats, the audience can follow Sylvie’s rationale and that makes it all so much more heartfelt.  In addition to Efira, Felix Lefebvre plays her eldest son, Jean-Jacques, with a maturity beyond his years.  This film, which was in Cannes distinguished competition, Un Certain Regard, this past May, will stay with you a long time.

Director: Delphine Deloget is known for NO  LONDON TODAY (2008), ALL TO PAY FOR (2023) and TIGRE (2019).
