ALONG CAME LOVE
Set in post-WWII France. A hotel waitress Madeleine who is mother to a little boy, meets a rich student François. The relationship between them becomes intense. It is evident that François is trying to escape his destiny by entangling Madeleine’s with his. Into this family comes an American serviceman, Jimmy, stationed in France. And the dynamic changes again.
Director: Katell Quillévéré is a French film director and screenwriter, known for directing the films Love Like Poison and Suzanne. In 2015 she was selected to be a member of the jury for the International Critics’ Week section of the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. This year, for her film, ALONG CAME LOVE, she was nominated for the Queer Palm.
