The Broward Student Film Festival is a one-night celebration of emerging cinematic voices, held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Savor Cinema in Fort Lauderdale. This free community event features a dynamic lineup of student films from across South Florida, offering young filmmakers the chance to share their work on the big screen.
Attendees can enjoy complimentary food, network with fellow creatives and take part in raffles and prizes throughout the evening.

About the After School Film Institute: ASFI is the premier after school youth film program in South Florida. With the support of internationally recognized production equipment manufacturers and notable, award-winning industry professionals, ASFI’s student-helmed projects have screened and won awards at national and international film festivals and been broadcast nationally on PBS Television and PBS Online. ASFI alumni have gone on to study cinema and film production in prestigious universities all over the country, as well as had their work screened and awarded at student filmmaker competitions all over the world. ASFI is supported with a generous grant from the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, as well as support from industry leaders such as Lectrosonics, Sennheiser, the New York Film Academy, K-Tech, and many others. Our Flagship Program brings direct collaboration with ASFI mentors in a professional environment resulting in the production of a short film. Students will work one-on-one with their mentor counterparts in a creative environment, engaging in individual mentoring, video production training, and video editing/post-production training. Students participate alongside their mentors in the pre-production, production, and post-production of a short film, becoming part of a professional film production crew for the full length of a film production, resulting in a professionally produced short film ready for distribution throughout global film markets.
